Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will sport their iconic green jerseys against Delhi Capitals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as part of their 'Green Initiative', highlighting their enduring pledge to sustainability. These jerseys, made from recycled materials, symbolize RCB's distinction as the only carbon-neutral T20 cricket franchise globally.

Initiated in 2011, RCB's Green Initiative integrates sustainability throughout its operations, emphasizing measurement, accountability, and fan involvement to achieve carbon positivity. "Achieving carbon-neutrality as a T20 franchise reflects years of committed work," said Rajesh Menon, CEO of RCB. The initiative aims to promote responsible practices among fans and stakeholders.

A core aspect of RCB's strategy involves analyzing fan behavior, such as commuting patterns and ride-sharing tendencies, to estimate environmental impacts. Fans are urged to use public transport, with match tickets doubling as Metro passes. RCB also enhances waste management and monitors operational emissions, including team travel and stadium energy usage.
