The Pakistan Super League's technical committee has upheld an appeal decision against Lahore Qalandars' skipper Fakhar Zaman. The cricketing body denied Zaman's request to retract a two-match suspension for ball-tampering imposed during a recent game.
Zaman contested the charge, arguing the evidence was inconclusive, yet the committee, after reviewing the claims, confirmed the initial punishment handed by match referee Roshan Mahanama. This decision excludes Zaman from key matches against Multan Sultan and Islamabad United.
During the game against Karachi Kings, umpires found the ball altered, levying a five-run penalty against Lahore Qalandars. The penalty created challenges for the team, contributing to their narrow defeat to the Karachi Kings.
