PSL Scandal: Fakhar Zaman's Appeal Dismissed in Ball Tampering Case
The Pakistan Super League technical committee rejected Fakhar Zaman's appeal against his two-match ban due to ball tampering. Imposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the ban follows Zaman's offence during a match against Karachi Kings. The decision is final and affects two critical matches for his team.
In a decisive move, the Pakistan Super League technical committee upheld the two-match ban imposed on cricketer Fakhar Zaman for ball tampering, confirming the Pakistan Cricket Board's earlier decision. Fakhar Zaman's appeal was dismissed, leaving the batter to miss critical upcoming matches.
The punishment follows Zaman's violation during Lahore Qalandars' match against Karachi Kings, where the team suffered a narrow four-wicket defeat. The initial suspension handed down by the PCB was based on clear evidence of the offence.
Consequent to the committee's resolution, Fakhar Zaman will not participate in the Lahore team's encounters against Multan Sultans and Islamabad United. The PCB stated this verdict is conclusive and binding on all involved parties.
