Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has expressed concerns about the Gujarat Titans' heavy dependence on their top-three batsmen, including Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, and Sai Sudharsan. Chopra claims this reliance may hinder their success if these key players fail to perform.

During their campaign opener against Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans showcased their vulnerability, as their middle order could not capitalize on a favorable batting surface. Chopra highlighted the performance of Glenn Phillips and Washington Sundar, urging more consistent contributions and quicker scoring.

Chopra also questioned the team's selection, suggesting Kumar Kushagra could have been given an opportunity, and criticized Shubman Gill's captaincy. According to Chopra, the bowling strategies and captaincy decisions left several questions unanswered, pointing to their recent defeat.
