Diamond Harbour FC celebrated their first-ever Indian Football League (IFL) victory on Sunday, narrowly defeating Dempo SC 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Kalyani Stadium.
Antonio Moyano opened the scoring for the hosts with a sublime goal in first-half stoppage time, but Dempo's Marcus Joseph leveled the score in the 55th minute with a solo effort.
The decisive moment came in the 70th minute when Hugo Díaz secured the win for Diamond Harbour with a clinical finish. Meanwhile, Shillong Lajong FC achieved their first win of the season by rallying against Real Kashmir FC with a 2-1 victory.
