The Ladakh Marathon, heralded as the world's highest AIMS-certified marathon, is gearing up for its 13th edition, set for September 10 to 13. Organizers highlighted the marathon's return on Thursday, emphasizing it as a test of endurance and human capacity.

Registrations for the six races, including the Silk Route Ultra (122km) and Khardung La Challenger (72km) races, are now open on the official website. Completing the lineup are the Marathon (42km), Half Marathon (21km), 11.2km Run, and a 5km Run for Fun.

Acclimatization is crucial for all runners, with ultra participants required to arrive in Leh 10 days before the race. The Khardung La Challenge and Silk Route Ultra are capped events, requiring proven marathon credentials and medical clearance. This ensures participants are well-prepared for these high-stakes endurance challenges.
