The 17th RORC Caribbean 600 promises thrilling nautical action as two formidable MOD70 trimarans, Argo and Final Final – Zoulou, line up with other competitive entries. The race, featuring sailing titans from 40 countries, will navigate through 11 Caribbean islands in a high-speed showdown.
The stage is set for an exhilarating maritime duel as the 17th RORC Caribbean 600 commences next week. Among nearly 500 sailors from 40 countries, two mighty MOD70 trimarans—Jason Carroll's Argo and Jon Desmond's Final Final – Zoulou—are front and center.
These American-flagged speedsters will race along 11 Caribbean islands, with both crews confident of a thrilling photo finish after 600 miles. Argo arrives with a win from the RORC Transatlantic Race, while Zoulou was a close runner-up, setting the scene for intense competition.
The Royal Ocean Racing Club's event not only features this high-octane MOD70 match-up but also boasts fierce competition in other classes. In the monohull division, reigning titans Leopard 3 and Black Jack 100 compete for line honours, alongside the historic attempt of Speedy Maltese, a pioneering Mini 6.50 entry.
