Pisa managed to snatch a crucial 1-1 draw against high-flying Atalanta, an outcome that marked only its second home goal of the Serie A season. Despite having the better play in what was largely a dour affair, Pisa had previously scored just once in eight home matches.
The match looked set to favor Atalanta when Nikola Krstovic seized upon a loose ball, firing it into the roof of the net from a tight angle with just seven minutes remaining. However, Pisa's Rafiu Durosinmi leveled the game shortly after, courtesy of a precise cross from Mehdi Léris.
The draw leaves Pisa one point above Veronal and equal with Fiorentina, both of which have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Atalanta remains comfortably in seventh place.
