Marc Marquez Ends Season Early After Injury: MotoGP Champion Reflects On Triumph
Marc Marquez, the renowned MotoGP champion, concludes his season prematurely due to a collarbone injury from a crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix. Despite leading the championship, he will miss the final races and a critical post-season test. Recovery is prioritized, overshadowing his recent seventh title victory.
Marc Marquez, the seven-time MotoGP world champion, ends his season early following a collarbone injury sustained during the Indonesian Grand Prix. The incident, which occurred in a collision with Marco Bezzecchi, forces Marquez's withdrawal from the concluding races despite his championship lead.
Marquez was slated to compete in the final races in Portugal and Valencia, but Ducati confirmed his absence due to the need for a four-week immobilization period. While his healing progresses well, the team prioritizes Marquez's long-term recovery and readiness for the 2026 season over immediate competition.
Despite this setback, Marquez celebrates his latest world title victory, achieved just a week before his injury in Japan. Meanwhile, Ducati's test rider Michele Pirro fills in for Marquez, although future race participation remains unconfirmed as Marquez leads the championship with a substantial points advantage.
