The South Asian Athletics Championships, scheduled to kick off on October 24 in Jharkhand, aims to create a lasting sports legacy across the region, according to Jharkhand's sports director Shekhar Jamuar.
In collaboration with the Athletics Federation of India and the South Asian Athletics Federation, the event invites school and college students to experience a three-day showcase of international athletic excellence.
Over 200 athletes from six nations, including host India, are set to compete. Highlighting the event's significance, Jamuar expressed confidence in attracting a large audience of sports enthusiasts to the 35,000-capacity stadium.
