The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) is poised to transform Navi Mumbai into a pivotal logistics hub by developing an Integrated Logistics Park (ILP). Spanning approximately 374 hectares near Chirle Village in Pushpak Node, this ambitious project promises state-of-the-art infrastructure, social amenities, and utility networks.
India's logistics sector is rapidly expanding, encouraged by burgeoning e-commerce, manufacturing, and global trade. CIDCO's initiative leverages Navi Mumbai's strategic proximity to key transport infrastructures such as the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
Vijay Singhal, CIDCO's Vice Chairman and Managing Director, emphasized the project's potential to facilitate goods movement, spur investments, and drive economic growth. Launching a pilot phase, CIDCO has called for Expressions of Interest (EOI) through a competitive bidding process for 12 plots, marking a significant step in establishing Navi Mumbai's role in the national logistics network.
