Python Rescued and Released in Nilgiris

A python in Nilgiris district captured the attention of locals when it appeared to be in distress. The reptile, approximately 15.5 feet in length, was found immobile in a garden in Solur, prompting a call to forest department officials.

The python's inability to move was attributed to its consumption of a considerable meal, hindering its mobility. Responding swiftly, forest department personnel intervened, ensuring the python was safely transported back to its natural habitat.

After the successful rescue, the python was released into a nearby dense forest, ensuring its safety away from human settlements. The incident highlighted the responsiveness of the community and the forest department in wildlife conservation efforts.
