The Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary is set to undergo a transformative 10-year management plan approved by the Delhi Forest Department, aiming to integrate scientific methodologies into its conservation efforts.
This ambitious plan will employ camera trap-based studies and the first-ever systematic surveys of bird and butterfly species. Comprehensive assessments will be conducted on mammals, birds, butterflies, soil, and water, guiding future conservation strategies.
Significant measures include managing invasive species like the vilayati kikar and fostering native flora to promote a balanced ecosystem. Phased reductions in artificial feeding of macaques and proactive habitat enrichment are among other focus areas.
