Groom Stages Unique Protest Against Smart Meters During Wedding Procession

In a unique and eye-catching protest, a groom in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, utilized his wedding procession as a platform to protest against the installation of smart meters, alleging that they resulted in arbitrary billing by the power department.
Dressed in traditional wedding attire, Kuldeep Kumar, from Ujrehata village, led around a hundred members of his procession to the historic Ashok Lott intersection, where they demonstrated against inflated electricity bills attributed to the smart meters.
The demonstration, which caught many onlookers by surprise, culminated in the submission of a memorandum to the Chief Minister via the district magistrate, highlighting issues around smart meter installations and billing.
