Delhi's Bold Roadway Overhaul: Flyovers and Underpasses to Relieve Jams

In a concerted effort to mitigate traffic congestion, the Delhi government has unveiled plans to decongest 34 km of critical road stretches in South and North Delhi. This ambitious undertaking comprises constructing flyovers and underpasses at key intersections prone to frequent jams.
The Public Works Department (PWD) is spearheading an integrated road corridor project that targets areas like the Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Road, with additional flyovers at Kanti Nagar bridge, Bawana, and near Kanjhawala Chowk. These initiatives are aimed at alleviating the crippling traffic flow.
The project will also engage in a feasibility study, costing Rs 7.30 crore, to explore optimal traffic solutions. Deliberations will consider various impacts, ensuring designs adhere to Indian Roads Congress standards for a seamless execution.
