On World Quantum Day 2026, Karnataka marked a significant milestone by launching India's first Quantum Ecosystem Map. This initiative, part of the 'From Vision to Reality' programme, was unveiled by State Minister N S Boseraju during a special event organised by the Department of Science & Technology.

The map, developed by IISc, highlights Karnataka's leadership in emerging quantum technologies. Speaking at the event, Boseraju emphasized the state's role as a frontrunner in quantum innovation, underscoring its unique ecosystem that facilitates technological advancement.

A central element of this roadmap is the conception of Q-City, a quantum hub designed to integrate academia, startups, and industry. The state's vision is backed by financial commitments, including a Rs 10 crore grant for talent development and a massive Rs 400 crore fund to support deep tech ventures in Karnataka.
