Tragic Factory Fire Near Bangladesh's Capital Claims Lives

A catastrophic fire broke out at a factory producing gas lighters close to Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, claiming at least five lives, authorities reported on Saturday. The incident occurred in the Kadamtali region of Keraniganj.
The fire service and civil defence confirmed that seven firefighting units were swiftly dispatched to tackle the blaze, which ignited in the afternoon. Despite their efforts, it took several hours to subdue the flames.
By evening, firefighters had recovered five bodies, although identification was not immediately possible. Investigations are underway to determine the fire's cause.
