The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its fifth list of candidates on Saturday for the West Bengal Assembly elections. Saurav Sikdar is set to contest from Dum Dum Uttar, while Taraknath Chatterjee will campaign in Krishnanagar Uttar.
Anupam Biswas is vying for a seat in Kalyani, with Anindya Raju Banerjee competing in Madhyamgram, and Rudraprasad Banerjee in Uluberia Purba. This announcement brings the total number of candidates named by the BJP to 292 out of 294 possible slots.
Polls are scheduled for April 23 and April 29, with the results being declared on May 4. The ruling Trinamool Congress has already fielded their candidates for all 294 seats.
