The Indian real estate sector is undergoing a transformation, marked by a shift from traditional family-funded models to institutional capital through REITs and Small & Medium REITs. This emerged as the central theme at EXCELERATE 2026, an international conclave organized by NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen held in Mumbai.
Over 750 attendees, including global investors and industry leaders, gathered to discuss the sector's evolution driven by urbanization, regulatory transparency, and innovative financing. Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani and other key speakers emphasized the sector's inflection point, the significance of ESG considerations, and the emergence of new segments like senior living and warehousing.
