Punjab's urban landscape is undergoing a significant transformation as the state government accelerates development projects. Minister Sanjeev Arora highlighted efforts to improve infrastructure, introduce reforms, and enhance public services.

To alleviate financial burdens, the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for Improvement Trusts has been reintroduced, offering property owners rebates. With an impressive house tax collection of Rs 600 crore for 2025-26, there's a marked improvement in compliance and efficiency within urban bodies.

The state is investing heavily in infrastructure, with Rs 1,300 crore dedicated to road construction and Rs 131 crore to modernizing fire services. With streamlined approval processes and substantial funding for sewerage and water management, Punjab is poised for a dramatic urban upgrade.
