In a surprising development, a full-grown tusker was discovered dead in the West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, leading to unrest in the area. The carcass, found on Thursday morning, has raised questions about the potential causes of death.
Upon receiving information from villagers, the forest department promptly dispatched officials, accompanied by a veterinary doctor, to the spot. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raphael Murmu reported that the incident might have occurred on Wednesday night.
As a post-mortem investigation commences, residents express alarm over a herd of elephants observed moving in the vicinity, heightening concerns among the community.
