In Surat, a massive inferno gutted the Gopi Knitting textile factory on Wednesday. Despite the dramatic flames, officials confirmed no casualties.

The blaze erupted around 10 a.m. at the factory within Hojiwala Industries in the Sachin industrial area. Initial firefighting efforts using on-site equipment were overwhelmed, prompting a call to the Surat fire brigade by 11:30 a.m.

The inferno spread quickly, fueled by fabrics and nylon, which engulfed the entire facility. With over a dozen fire tenders deployed, the fire has been contained, and cooling operations are ongoing. Investigators are working to determine the fire's cause, amid reports of significant damage to the factory.
