Blaze in Daejeon Factory Sparks Urgent Response

A significant fire broke out at a car parts factory in Daejeon, South Korea, resulting in injuries to 55 people, with serious injuries to 24, according to the fire agency's Friday report.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung has directed the deployment of all necessary resources to address the emergency and prioritize saving lives, as noted by the Presidential Blue House. The National Fire Agency has expressed concerns about the potential rise in casualties from the blaze, located approximately 160 kilometers south of Seoul.
Efforts to control the inferno are being impeded by a collapse of one of the two buildings involved, a firefighter informed Reuters. The factory, operated by Anjun Industrial, specializes in manufacturing engine parts and serves as a supplier to Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp. Anjun officials were not reachable for immediate comments.
