Delhi experienced a slight improvement in air quality on Friday, as measured by the Air Quality Index (AQI) lowering to 268, shifting from 'very poor' to 'poor' status. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) provided these metrics on Friday morning.
The latest data from the CPCB-developed Sameer app highlighted 12 red zones across the national capital. Among these, Wazirpur had the highest AQI reading at 355, followed by Bawana at 349, both still falling under 'very poor' category.
Weather conditions showed a minimum temperature of 21.6 degrees Celsius, significantly above normal. Humidity levels were notably high at 98 percent, with the forecast suggesting a foggy day with maximum temperatures around 29 degrees Celsius.
