In a significant move to bolster Maharashtra's business environment, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday declared that district collectors will receive additional powers under the District Business Reform Action Plan 2025. This comprehensive plan encompasses 154 reforms to be carried out over the next year, aiming to improve the state's business landscape.
Speaking at a review meeting about Ease of Doing Business held at the Sahyadri Guest House, Fadnavis announced the organization of a 'chintan shibir' for district collectors. The move also involves divisional meetings to extend more authority to collectors, as further elaborated by the Chief Minister.
The state aims to excel further in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) assessment by adhering to reforms that focus on land and building permissions, labor reforms, and regulatory simplification. The introduction of MAITRI 2.0, a comprehensive single-window platform, is set to streamline these efforts by integrating essential modules for business facilitation and feedback.
