The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raised concerns over the Delhi government's recent cloud seeding exercise, questioning its efficacy due to the absence of rainfall. The experiment, conducted in partnership with IIT-Kanpur, aimed to tackle air pollution in the capital city.
Despite the initiative's goal of reducing particulate matter, AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out that no rain was observed in the targeted areas, despite claims of artificial precipitation.
Critics, including Bharadwaj, labeled the event as a 'publicity-driven activity,' questioning the allocation of public funds for a project previously deemed unsuitable for Delhi by central government institutions.
