AAP leader and Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha has raised serious concerns over a recent cloud seeding trial conducted in Delhi's Burari area. Jha claimed that the exercise proceeded without prior notice to local residents or public representatives, allegedly breaching standard operating procedures.
Addressing the media, Jha questioned why such an event was held in secrecy, contrasting it with other publicized governmental operations. He voiced worries about potential harm to people and crops, insisting on a detailed government report on the trial's chemical usage.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta highlighted the trial as a technological effort against pollution, with upcoming artificial rain plans. Government officials noted a silver iodide and sodium chloride release during the trial, but no rainfall occurred due to low moisture levels.
