In a dramatic turn of events, Delhi Police have apprehended an individual suspected to be part of the notorious Anil Chippi and Kala Jatheri gangs following a brief shootout in Dwarka, officials reported.

Vikas, known by his alias Bagga and a resident of Haryana's Rohtak, was wanted in several criminal cases including murder, attempted murder, and robbery. His capture came about after police intelligence indicated he would be meeting an associate near the Mangespur Drain Patri along Dichaun-Hirankudana Road.

Upon spotting the police and in a bid to escape, Vikas reportedly opened fire, hitting the bulletproof vest of a head constable who emerged unscathed. The police, acting in self-defense, returned fire, injuring Vikas in the leg, which led to his subsequent arrest and hospital treatment. Preliminary investigations confirmed Vikas's involvement in other major crime cases across Haryana and Delhi, linking him directly to organized criminal outfits.
