Union Home Minister Amit Shah claims a wave of change is sweeping through West Bengal, as voters head to the polls with a record turnout. Shah is confident that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure more than 110 out of the 152 seats contested in the initial phase.
Addressing reporters in Kolkata, Shah outlined BJP's plans for tackling longstanding issues in the state, including land encroachment, women's safety, and corruption. He asserted that a Bengal-born candidate will lead the state if the BJP assumes power, countering claims of external interference.
As the region prepares for further voting, Shah urged citizens to vote fearlessly, assuring them of transparent elections. He emphasized BJP's commitment to development, promising significant policy shifts to eliminate corruption and improve infrastructure.
