A passenger plane overran a runway and veered into roadside bushes at a remote airstrip in northeastern Kenya on Friday. Fortunately, all 36 people on board survived without injuries, as confirmed by an aviation official.
The Embraer aircraft, operated by Kenyan carrier EBB Air, had departed from Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport carrying 32 passengers and four crew members. The plane skidded after landing at the Mandera airstrip, overshooting the runway and ending up in a thicket.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating. The accident caused significant damage to the aircraft. Local media reported that all passengers and crew escaped unharmed.
