In a sharp critique, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav accused the Congress of hindering the passage of the constitutional amendment for women's quotas in legislative bodies, drawing a parallel to the Kauravas of Mahabharata. Speaking in Sagar district, he lamented Congress's opposition to Prime Minister Modi's women's empowerment initiatives.
Yadav extolled the BJP's efforts, highlighting the 30 percent reservation for women and the significant female representation in Madhya Pradesh's leadership roles. He appealed to women to maintain unity and hold Congress accountable, emphasizing plans for a 33 percent reservation in the future.
The Chief Minister also announced 2023 as Farmer Welfare Year, focusing on developments such as the Ken-Betwa River Linking project to address water scarcity affecting farmers. The inaugural event for developmental projects drew vast public attendance, underscoring the administration's commitment to regional advancement.
