Shah's Promise: BJP's Bengal with No Intruders

Union Home Minister Amit Shah vowed on Thursday that the BJP, if elected, would ensure no intruders enter West Bengal. He also promised to remove existing illegal immigrants. Shah made these statements at a public rally in Balagarh, Hooghly, amid ongoing voting for the first phase of elections.

Shah criticized the TMC government, led by Mamata Banerjee, for fostering 'syndicate raj' and levying what he called the 'Bhaipo tax'. He accused the TMC of harming the economy and promised industrial revival under a BJP administration. He highlighted the plight of Balagarh's boat-making industry, once a major employment source, which he claimed had suffered under the current regime.

Invoking historical connections, Shah paid homage to prominent figures in Bengal's legacy and urged voters to support the BJP. He framed the election as pivotal for Bengal's identity and security. Shah also criticized the TMC's alleged dynastic politics and assured that a local BJP worker would become the next chief minister.
