BJP leader Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore condemned Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for his 'terrorist' comment directed at PM Narendra Modi, framing it as an affront to the electorate. At a press briefing, Rathore, Rajasthan's Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, labeled Kharge’s statement as 'verbal violence,' demanding a public apology.
Rathore emphasized that such behavior from a senior politician demonstrates electoral frustration, questioning the adherence to democratic and cultural values. He highlighted the role of power struggles in overshadowing respect for constitutional positions, emphasizing that Modi's election represented the choice of millions of Indians and called for the statement to be condemned.
Praising the judiciary's intervention in the political disorder in West Bengal, Rathore celebrated the Supreme Court's critique of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s actions. He expressed confidence that increased security would reduce violence in upcoming Bengal elections and noted the hurdle opposition parties pose in passing constitutional amendments in Parliament.
