In an unusual move, a policewoman in Bihar's Purnea district has been suspended for posting social media reels in uniform, in direct violation of headquarters' directives. An official statement confirmed the suspension of Shabana Azmi, the SHO of Mahila Thana, which was issued by Purnea Superintendent of Police Sweety Sehrawat.
The statement revealed that Azmi was consistently found to be sharing reels on her social media account while in uniform, contravening the standing operating procedures set by the Police Headquarters.
Furthermore, Superintendent Sehrawat emphasized that stern action would be taken against any officers found engaging in similar behavior. This isn't Azmi's first time in the spotlight; she attracted attention last year when an elderly relative was seen sitting in her chair while she was in charge of a police outpost.
