The main contenders are the ruling DMK, the opposition AIADMK, and strong players like actor-politician Vijay's TVK and Seeman-led NTK. A robust electorate of 5.73 crore is set to influence the fate of 4,023 hopefuls in the electoral fray.

The Election Commission has meticulously deployed over 1,06,418 ballot units and ensured ample VVPATs to avoid technical hurdles. With the support of the central and state police forces, including 300 CAPF companies, a peaceful polling process is anticipated.
