Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a fervent appeal to the people of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal to actively participate in their Assembly elections. Modi's call to action specifically targeted the youth and women in these states, encouraging them to vote in record numbers.
Polling began today across all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu, while the first phase of voting for 152 out of 294 seats in West Bengal is also underway. Modi described this democratic exercise as a 'sacred duty' and a 'festival of democracy', urging full participation.
The second phase of West Bengal's elections is scheduled for April 29. Counting across both states, along with Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry, will take place on May 4, determining the outcome of this significant electoral process.
