In a sharp critique against the BJP government in Rajasthan, Congress figure Ashok Gehlot questioned the cause behind the fire at the newly constructed Pachpadra refinery. The incident led to the postponement of its inaugural ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a press conference, Gehlot expressed concerns over the unusual nature of the fire in a new facility and suggested there might have been psychological pressure to rush the completion. He also criticized the government's negligence on public issues, likening it to a 'back foot' stance due to rhetorical efforts like his 'Intezaar Shastra.'
Gehlot addressed pending issues including the BJP's alleged confusion over women's reservation, unpaid Public Health Engineering Department dues amounting to Rs 4,500 crore, farmers' mounting pressures, and the delay in local elections, which he claimed contradict constitutional provisions.
