The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for immediate action from the Election Commission of India regarding Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's controversial 'terrorist' remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP's statement has heightened political strains as it alleges the comments breach the Model Code of Conduct.

During a press conference, Kharge implied that the Prime Minister was 'terrorising' political parties by leveraging government machinery to silence opposition. Although Kharge later clarified that his use of the word 'terrorist' was metaphorical, the BJP remains steadfast in its pursuit of accountability.

In a formal complaint, the BJP demands Mallikarjun Kharge issue a public apology and suggests regulatory actions including restrictions on his campaign activities. The BJP's senior leaders, including Union ministers, plan to meet with the Election Commission to further emphasize the need for corrective measures in this politically charged dispute.
