In a heated political confrontation, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge labeled Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'terrorist', prompting sharp criticism from the BJP on Tuesday.

The BJP accused Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of executing a calculated defamation campaign influenced by Modi’s initiatives, including women's reservation in government.

Kharge later clarified his remarks, citing Modi's alleged abuse of power and political terrorising. However, the BJP dismissed the clarification as disingenuous, claiming a pattern of disrespectful rhetoric from the opposition towards the Prime Minister.
