In a fiery election rally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar of being compromised, asserting that Kumar's silence over his Rajya Sabha membership indicates BJP's stranglehold over him. Gandhi alleged that the BJP orchestrated the removal of Kumar as Bihar's Chief Minister, replacing him with BJP's Samrat Choudhary.

Gandhi warned that the BJP aims to replicate its control strategy in Tamil Nadu, using AIADMK—a party he claims has become a mere shell of its past. According to Gandhi, AIADMK's renowned leaders who once defended Tamil interests no longer exist, and current leaders are compromised by corruption.

He further alleged that key figures in AIADMK are under direct control of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi, sidelining the party's dedicated workers. Gandhi's sharp critique underscores the declining autonomy of regional parties under central political pressures.
