During a public rally in Nowshera, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the BJP for allegedly targeting the families of political adversaries, challenging the party's strength to compete head-on.

Abdullah highlighted that despite continual allegations against opposition leaders, none of the accusations held up under scrutiny. He pointed out the struggles faced by Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary due to these tactics, stating that Choudhary consistently advocates for communal harmony and shared history in Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdullah also stressed his government's dedication to welfare initiatives, such as regularizing daily wagers, increasing stipends for Aanganwadi and ASHA workers, and providing free gas cylinders, electricity relief, and bus travel for women.
