During a gathering in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary reaffirmed the NDA's dedication to instituting a 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies. He criticized opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, accusing them of restricting legislative seats to women within their families.
Choudhary reassured that the NDA is working toward women's empowerment and alleged that the Modi government is moving with intent on passing the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, which had previously been defeated in the Lok Sabha. The event in Gandhi Maidan attracted significant turnout but was labeled a 'flop' by opposition members.
RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav denounced the rally as organized chaos and accused NDA leaders of manipulating public sentiment, while BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi condemned opposition tactics as injurious to women's dignity. The political rift over women's rights and reservation persists as both sides exchange barbs over legislative failures and alleged mistreatment.
