In Hyderabad, Congress leaders staged a vociferous protest near the Bharatiya Janata Party office on Thursday, ignited by BJP MP Tejaswi Surya's recent remarks in the Lok Sabha accusing Congress of dividing Andhra Pradesh.

Tejaswi Surya's speech, which likened the formation of Telangana to the partition of India, sparked outrage. Congress leader Motha Rohit demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Surya, warning of widespread protests if demands are unmet.

Amidst intensified political tension, Congress leaders urged BJP representatives from Telangana to either denounce Surya's comments or resign, accusing BJP of causing regional discord and implying a controversial alignment with Pakistan.
