The Himachal Pradesh Congress Working Committee convened for its inaugural meeting following the establishment of the new executive body. Veteran leader and ex-minister Kaul Singh Thakur aired pressing concerns regarding school staffing shortages and appointment delays in the state.

Thakur, speaking at the meeting, questioned staffing gaps at a senior secondary school in his constituency and alleged that individuals associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party were being unjustly prioritized. He mentioned that while the state's Education Minister promised action, the chief minister's office has been stalling on the matter for over three months.

Furthermore, Thakur expressed frustration over bureaucratic hang-ups within the Chief Minister's Office, suggesting that remnants of the preceding government manage to impede progress. With hopes of addressing these issues directly with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Thakur reiterated the need for ramped-up organization and grassroots engagement ahead of the forthcoming elections.
