Odisha's Political Future at Crossroads Over Delimitation Bill

BJD chief Naveen Patnaik urged Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to call a special assembly session within 48 hours to protect the state's political interests against the proposed delimitation bill.
Patnaik expressed concern that the bill, in its current form, could reduce Odisha's representation in the Lok Sabha, impacting cooperative federalism and diminishing the state's political voice.
Despite supporting the Women's Reservation Bill, Patnaik insists that Odisha's political rights should remain intact, emphasizing the urgency of convening an assembly session to pass a resolution safeguarding the state's political future.
