Amit Shah's Bold Pledge: Border Security & Gorkha Issue Resolution in West Bengal

On Bengali New Year's Day, in the context of West Bengal's ongoing electoral campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah intensified his rhetoric against Mamata Banerjee's TMC. Shah asserted that while the Election Commission had managed to remove infiltrators from the state's voter rolls, the more significant challenge was to expel them from the nation.

Shah, addressing supporters virtually from Darjeeling due to adverse weather, pledged to address the Gorkha community's concerns and reverse police charges against leaders once the BJP came to power. He further criticized the current administration for the mismanagement of funds, particularly highlighting disparities in budget allocation across the state.

Highlighting regional concerns, Shah announced measures like including the Rajbanshi language in the Constitution's eighth schedule, establishing development projects focused on the local populace, and reiterated BJP's commitment to transparency and corruption-free governance if elected.
