Empowering Women: BJP's Rally for Historic Women's Quota

In a show of support for the proposed Women's Quota Law amendments, BJP members and the BJP Mahila Morcha organized a 'Mahila Bike Rally' at Connaught Place on Wednesday. This demonstration comes ahead of Parliament's consideration of the amendments, which aim to allocate 33% of Lok Sabha and state assembly seats to women by 2029.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva lauded the Nari Shakti Vandan Amendment Bill, expressing gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government. This move is seen as an essential step towards securing adequate representation for women. Prominent figures like MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Kamaljeet Sehrawat joined in the rally, while foot marches were conducted across different city locations.

Sachdeva and Union minister Harsh Malhotra led a significant foot march in Laxmi Nagar alongside hundreds of women to support the bill. Other notable attendees included Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal, who participated in a human chain demonstration at the Red Fort.
