Ukraine's Defence Ministry announced on Wednesday the implementation of a pioneering combat strategy that marries drone warfare with infantry operations. This innovative model is already yielding results, contributing to the liberation of significant territory from Russian control in the southern region.
The strategy involves the deployment of drone-assault units, which seamlessly integrate aerial and ground unmanned systems with infantry to form a cohesive fighting system. As stated by the ministry on Telegram, the approach has already proven effective in reclaiming substantial land.
Ukraine's top military figure, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on Wednesday that Kyiv's forces successfully retook nearly 50 square kilometers of territory from Russia in March.
