Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday proclaimed that the removal of Kerala's LDF government is imminent, with a BJP-led NDA poised to assume power. Speaking at a rally in Pathanamthitta, Modi cited the BJP workers' determination to end Left rule as indicative of the political shift. As Kerala gears up for its April 9 Assembly elections, the PM pledged that a BJP administration would propel the state's development, paralleling successes in other NDA-governed regions like the north-east states and Goa.
Modi highlighted Kerala's need for better infrastructure, criticizing the LDF and UDF for neglecting rural areas. He vowed the NDA, despite its absence in Kerala's governance, has invested significantly more than previous regimes. Accusing the Left of stalling progress, particularly with the Sabari rail project, Modi assured that a 'double-engine' government would clear such hurdles. He emphasized NDA policies' benefits for women and addressed youth migration as Kerala's pressing issue.
The Prime Minister rebuffed claims that southern states would lose Lok Sabha seats due to population control. Asserting that Congress stirs discord in international relations, Modi reassured that Kerala's Gulf diaspora's safety remains paramount. He alleged a covert alliance between the LDF and UDF, which they deny, criticizing their mutual accusations of BJP collaboration. Regarding the Sabarimala controversy, Modi condemned the Left's actions as conspiratorial, vowing accountability under NDA's governance.
