YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday publicly criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, dismissing the recent assembly resolution regarding Amaravati as mere theatrics meant to obscure alleged corruption in the greenfield capital project.
Reddy's comments follow the Andhra Pradesh Assembly's passage of a resolution requesting the central government to recognize Amaravati as the state's sole capital. He stressed the difference between a state's seat of governance and a national capital, saying legislative bodies hold the power to enact and amend laws.
The opposition leader further accused Naidu of sidestepping crucial issues and focusing on capital city discussions as a diversion tactic, while reaffirming his commitment to a 'Three Capitals' policy, which he claims respects all regions of Andhra Pradesh.
